Basket Stacker

Stewart Systems Basket Stacker is designed to automatically stack baskets to a programmed height and deliver these stacks for distribution. Stacks build on a count Basis (operator selectable or recipe driven) and are transferred to a gravity roller-manual hand truck interface or automated basket distribution system.

The Stacker has handwheel adjustments for basket width and basket length allowing for a variety of basket sizes. Varying nest heights can also be accommodated. The Stacker can accept baskets at rates up to 22 individual baskets per minute (rates exceeding 22 baskets per minute are obtained with the optional basket prestacker). The stacker rugged, heavy-duty construction is built for continuous, high volume duty.

Stacker control is provided via touchscreen operator interface in combination with a dedicated, reliable Allen Bradley SLC programmable controller. Common components and design platforms are utilized in our Basket Stacker and Unstacker equipment to minimize spare parts inventories. The simple linear direct mechanical linkage life design eliminates overhung loads and critical wear points found in other Basket Stackers. The compact footprint allows for easy replacement of existing units.

Product Distribution Equipment

The basket stacker builds uniform stacks of one type of basket at a time from the bottom up. Baskets enter the basket stacker one at a time and each basket is placed at the bottom of the stack being built. The stack is then lifted and, as the next basket enters, the stack (built with preceding baskets) is lowered onto this incoming basket. The process continues and stacks build to a predetermined height, (up to eight feet - as programmed through the user interface). Durability and dependability is realized through our high quality carbon and stainless-steel construction. Our Basket Stacker is designed with a minimum number of moving parts to provide high duty reliability.
